Fluid-advancing Fiber

A fluid-advancing fiber was recently issued a patent. The fiber comprises an inner portion and an outer portion and can be incorporated into a fabric. One or more first conductive elements are adjacent to the outer portion of the fiber. One or more first conductive elements is/are adapted to constrict when heated by electric current and relax when cooled. Such constriction and relaxation cause fluid to advance along the fiber.
